Miss Me?

Didja? Didja miss me? Nah, didn't think so.  Oh well, I missed ya'll. :)

Vacation was great. Was a MUCH needed escape.  We all had a blast & the kids hardly fussed at all!  Well...  almost.  :)  If you're looking for a great beach that's pretty quiet and a peaceful getaway, check out Navarre Beach.  It was awesome. My daughters said the best part was the shark.  We were swimming in the ocean on Saturday when the lifeguard started blowing his whistle and we had to get out because of a shark.  Yeah, it was pretty cool. LOL

So we got back on Sunday and started working on the new island as soon as we logged on.  Yesterday, Stormy was off work so she worked on the island some more too.  If everything goes well, we should be finished, or darn near it, by time for the beach party this Friday night.

Speaking of Friday night... As some of you know, there is a new fundraiser that has started.  "Tatas for Tatas".  If you haven't heard about it, holler at me. It's fun and it's raising money for a great cause.

Tonight is my first show in over a week. I hope I remember how to DJ. ;)   It's at the Junkyard and starts at 7SL.  I've not been on air since last Tuesday, so there's no telling what all has built up & needs to escape.  Guess you need to be there tonight to find out.  See you then!!

It's Almost Here...

Whew!!  Finally, I get a breather & can catch up. Ok, so here goes...

The concert on Saturday night was awesome. The turnout was incredible and I can't thank you all enough. It was truly great. In case you missed it, the podcast recordings are posted on the new Iron Clad Radio website. Speaking of which, the new website went live this weekend.  It's basically just the "make it pretty" part that's up so far. The cool functionality is still being built and I must say, it's gonna TOTALLY rock. :)  Please take a few minutes to check it out and let me know what you think. If you have any ideas that we could do to the site, please don't hesitate to pass those on as well.

So the Junkyard show tonight is the last show for a week. Stormy and I are going on vacation with our family... yes... all 4 kids.  Please keep me in your prayers... and our kids... so I won't kill one of them. lol

Well, just a few more things to tidy up here at work before I can escape for a few days so I guess I'll go get busy.  Hopefully, I'll see you tonight at the Junkyard.  If not, then have a WONDERFUL week and I'll see you when we get back!!

60 hours and counting....

HOLY SMOKES!!  It's just two days away!!  The Music That Molded A Mind concert is the day after tomorrow.  Sheesh!!  It's snuck up on me. Guess I need to get ready for it huh? :)

This week has been a madhouse.  Stormy is out of town and that sucks.  She usually keeps me focused.  I can tell when she's not around.  I feel lost or something.  At work, I'm facing a deadline tomorrow and while I'm busting my tail to meet it, I keep getting other stuff piled on my desk that needs to be done before I take vacation next week.  Sheesh, you'd think they wanted me to actually work for this paycheck. :)

So last night was the weekly show at Tamil Isle. It was a rock show and we had a blast. Tonight is the House of Tunes show and then tomorrow.... the beach party. Saturday night is the big concert and several people have mentioned something about not being able to be there for all or part of it.  So, I will be recording the show and putting it on my website as a MP3 podcast.  It'll be a large file, but at least you'll get to hear the entire thing.  I'm actually thinking of adding podcasts of the shows to the members only section of the new Iron Clad Radio website.  We'll see how that works out.

Before I get back to work, I just want to remind everyone that next week will be a mostly Iron free week.  We're taking vacation from the 22nd through the 26th. That means, after the Junkyard show on Tuesday the 21st, you won't see me again until the Junkyard show on Tuesday the 28th.  So make sure you get your RDA before it's too late. :)

Oh, and a lil' shout out to someone that's going through a tough time: Hang in there. You're awesome and things will get better.  Tomorrow is a brighter day.... just keep working for it. :)

Time To Catch Up

Howdy everyone!  So how was your weekend?  Not half as good as mine I bet. I had two INCREDIBLE dates this weekend.  On Friday night, Cast Iron and I went to dinner & did some shopping, and then on Saturday night, Wrought Iron and I went out.  We had a blast.  While one girl was out on the date with dad, the other was with their Nana (my mom) getting spoiled beyond belief.

The beach party Friday night was awesome as usual.  It's my favorite night of the week.  I work my tail off that night, but it's more than worth it.  After that, I didn't get back on SL until Sunday night for the Aroha Island show.  Yes, the rumors are true... I wore a kilt.  And no... I did not go regimental. I knew there would be too many cameras around. LOL

Stormy is flying to NYC this morning & won't be back until Friday.  So I didn't get on SL last night, we watched Disturbia while she packed & got ready.  Damn, I already miss her. :(

Saturday night is the Music That Molded A Mind show.  Don't forget it, it is a show you don't want to miss.

Tonight is the Junkyard show.  It's my 2nd favorite night of the week, and always a great show. Even if you think you don't like the blues, come check it out.... I may just change your mind.

THE BIG SHOW!!!

Today is the big day! It's the unveiling of the details of the big show next Saturday (Aug. 18th).  But first... a little about last night...

Last night was the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Tamil Isle, and that means...  Jazz Night!  In a word...  WOW.  Everyone looked incredible!!  And I must say... the music was pretty awesome too. :)

Tonight, I probably won't be on SL until very late... if at all.  It's orientation at my daughters' school so I'll be there, then the drive back (over an hour).  If I don't make it tonight, that just means I'll be even more ready to party at the beach tomorrow night.

Music That Molded A Mind

Several people have asked how can one person be so musically diverse. How can one person know and enjoy so much musical variation? Junkyard Awesomeness!

Well, as usual, the Junkyard rocked last night. I totally love playing there. The atmosphere is awesome, people are amazing, and the blues... ahh... the blues.... After the show, Kiff turned voice back on & I hung out for a lil' while chatting... well, mainly listening. Dunno what it is, but I get all shy when voice turns on. Guess it's the fact that people can respond, unlike when I DJ. Weird I reckon.

Tonight is Jazz Night at Tamil Island. I've already been working on the playlist & I must say... it's pretty freaking awesome. :) I hope Maci can make it.

Ok, so you've been waiting to find out about the show on the 18th. You've been patient... well, some of you. So are you ready? Ready to know what it is??

Normalcy Has Returned...

Well... as normal as possible.

I'm back at work today (yay) and things are returning back to normal.  Last night was a lazy night on SL.  I built a new anvil tip jar since SL ate my other one.  This one is copy so hopefully it won't eat it.  Plus, I added some personal touches to it. You'll probably hate it, but who cares.  LOL

After I got my new work of art finished, I went exploring.  Was the first time I've done that in forever.  Was pretty fun actually.  Found a great clothing store and a sim with what has to be the largest mall I've ever seen.  It was incredible.  Didn't find any cool stores there, but it was huge.

Tonight is the Junkyard.  This is probably my 2nd favorite night of the week. I love doing this show. It's always fun, and I get to play awesome friggin' music. Show starts at 7SL, so drop by if ya can.  You'll have fun.  I have no doubt.
