Oh yeah...

Wow... what a weekend! Was yours as good as mine was? I kinda doubt it. :) I'll give you one guess as to what I did all weekend.... yup, you got it... SL. :)

I got home from work on Friday and logged in. We were supposed to go watch a friend of mine who was playing a guitar gig at a local club. Well, what should have been a 20 minute commute ended up being over an hour long because of to butt-load of traffic going to a big high school football game. To go see my friend play, we'd have to go back on that same route. Forget that. So instead, we got on SL. I was up until around 3:00 AM or so but stormy was up until around 6:00 AM & then back up just after 8:00. She says she couldn't sleep... I dunno... I think she's just addicted. lol

Anyway, we spent all day Saturday on SL... well, except for the 2 hour nap I had that afternoon :). Saturday night, we had a big part on the island. We invited ppl from the Junkyard and had a pretty darn good turnout. There was one catch... it was a topless party. :) No tops, guys or girls. It was pretty awesome. There were Jet Ski's and inner tubes all over the sim. lol I think (hope) everyone had a great time. I think I still owe Dina a dance, she just needs to collect it. ;) hehehe.

Yesterday (Sunday), was another work day. We worked on the island and just hung out a lot of the day. The lovely Brigid helped me shop for dance balls for the island. And in case someone needs some "alone time", look behind the bar. ;) hehehe.

Last night, stormy gets an IM from someone, telling her that the clothing store Dazzle is going out of business & everything is 100$L. Evidently that's a big deal. It took her a long time to get into the sim (it was packed), but once she did, she went crazy. LOL Metal gave her some $ so she could buy Sofia some things and she also bought Mir some outfits. I personally liked the blue dress she got Mir, and the long black dress she got Sofia. As for stormy, she racked up, the fashion show lasted almost 2 hours. lol My favorite was this beautiful, long black dress. She looked great in it.

Speaking of black dresses... While stormy was wearing out the cash register, I went dancing with Brigid. I had gotten an IM from Guys & Dolls and thought it'd be good to dance there for a while. I asked Brigid if she had a "40's style dress". She didn't, so we went & she let me buy her one. She looked amazing in it. Spinning on the dance floor, dress flowing with the music. It was a lot of fun. We were also able to talk while we danced. I'm learning more about her every day. :) She says she'll tell me more later... I'll be waiting. :)

So after stormy was finished with the shopping spree, Sofia, Mir and stormy put on a fashion show for us (Brigid, Telc, Metal, and me). They all looked incredible. Afterward, Metal & Sofia went back to shop some more, Mir & Telc went to the Junkyard while stormy and I stayed on the island. She finished her fashion show and I setup the new tip jar and security orb before logging off and heading for bed.

All in all, it was a pretty damn good weekend. Oh!! Don't forget!!! Pirate Day is tomorrow (9/19). Make sure you dress like a pirate for the party at the Junkyard! I can't wait for everyone to see my costume :)
