Ahhh... Monday...

Anbody else glad it's Monday? Yeah, me neither. lol

Ok, so, let's catch up. How ya been? I've been pretty good. Tired, but good. Friday was a fairly easy day. Only had to do a little work, so that was good. Then I went to pickup my daughters for the weekend. The oldest turns 8 this Thursday, so it was her 'birthday weekend'. We have a tradition that we follow where we go by my moms' work on Friday and the birthday girl goes with Nana to dinner, shopping and spend the night before the party on Saturday. The other girl goes on a 'date with dad'. Our tradition is that we go to Build-A-Bear and build the birthday girl a bear. This time, we built a Bird.... Big Bird to be precise. I'm a HUGE Sesame Street fan, but I didn't talk her into picking it out... really I didn't. LOL After we do that, we go to dinner somewhere. This year, we went to Ruby Tuesday. I always let them pick and it's funny to see their different personalities. The older one wants to pick the "fancy" places and she is so prim & proper while we eat. The younger however, would rather get a burger somewhere she can draw on the menu. lol

Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day here. Hardly a cloud in the sky, temperatures just barely breaking 80, slight breeze... perfect day for a picnic party. We had southern staples for lunch (Fried chicken, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes) before cutting the cake. We had a great time and she got some cool stuff.

Yesterday was a recovery day. We slept late and just hung out before getting ready to go see my dad (today is his birthday) and then take the girls home.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time on SL this weekend, but as I've said before, I won't when the girls are visiting. I have made them a promise (in my head) that they are my priority and I will spend every available minute with them and not spend it in SL.

Speaking of SL... What's up with all the attacks? OMG! It's really starting to tick me off. Not just the fact that it's happening, but that they have to take the ENTIRE grid offline to "investigate" it. Are there not any tracking tools they can use to watch particular sims or particular users? I don't know anything about their app, but it seems as though there could be some better tracking & logging built in. I tried to login this morning and it was still down from last night. That's just crazyness.

Speaking of crazyness, I guess I better get to work. It's Monday, but hopefully we'll only have one Monday this week unlike the 5 we had last week. lol
