2 days and counting....

2 days until I get stuffed like the turkey I'll be eating.... I need to stop eating now so I'll have enough room. ;)

I got some bad news yesterday afternoon. A close friend of mine had a death in the family. The person had been sick and they knew it was just a matter of days, but it's still hard. My thoughts and prayers go out to their family.

Last night was pretty uneventful. I logged onto SL for about 1/2 an hour before Heroes came on (damn I love that show). I was going to log back in after Heroes was over, but I didn't.... SL was down... again. This is getting ridiculous. It seems like they're down more than they're up these days. Now they're having database performance issues. They're saying it's because of griefers and gray goo, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's just their application not being able to handle the load. It seems that the problems only come up when the load is over 13K or so users logged in. Last night, there were 15K on and they had to close the grid. Go figure.
