Aki Saves The Day!!

So last night, I logged on and I get an IM from Blue, the organizer of last nights' block party, and her 6PM DJ canceled on her. I had already promised to DJ at FANGS before my 8PM show at the block party so I couldn't make it. So.... I found Aki and she saved the day!! She was able to pickup the hour and helped them out of a bind. Kudos to you Aki... and a HUGE thank you.

It was pretty quiet at FANGS last night. Nothing was formally planned so I didn't expect a big turnout anyway. I'm just glad that the music went better last night and didn't screw up like it did on Monday. Not long before I left, Brigid stopped by to check the place out. Dang... that girl is looking hot in her Goth lately. She can bite on me anytime. ;) hehehe

I got to the block party about 15 minutes before my set and was able to hear the live musician, Heath. Jazz piano... Wow. It was great! Really didn't want to try and follow that, he was great. I had a Top 40 list setup but ended up doing some improv and playing some jazzy stuff. I think it really went well. Rhonda joined me there for a little bit and we talked. She made me promise not to tell anybody she had a "softer side". oops.. did I just post that on the Internet? ;) LOL

Tonight, I'm at FANGS all night. Dunno the theme yet, but it should be a good show. Tomorrow night is 80's night with Johnnie Izumi and Friday night is the weekly beach party. Make sure you make it to one of the shows. You know you want to. :)
