I'm freakin' a lil'....

OK, yeah, so I'm probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer. lol I'll get to why in a minute... here's a recap of yesterday....

Work was ok. Nothing spectacular, but nothing detrimental either. I did get to go to Best Buy at lunch and pickup a new messenger bag for my laptops. It's harder than I thought it'd be to find a good bag that can hold 17" widescreens... much less a bag that can hold two of them. I don't carry them both every day, I usually leave one at work. But when I need them, I need them, ya know? Anyway, I also got some new blues tunes. It's a compilation of Alligator Records artists. Some pretty good stuff on it. I'll play ya some next time I DJ.

I talked to stormy several times yesterday and the funeral is tomorrow (Thursday) at 3. By the time it's over & they do all the after funeral family stuff, it'll be late and I don't know if I want her driving back that late. The drive is about 7 hours so I'm thinking I want her to wait until Friday morning to come home. But, I'm missing her pretty badly so I kinda wish she would come home. I dunno. We'll see what happens.

Ok, so SL... I had promised CC that I'd come dance with her last night. So, I got all gussied up and met her at Jade. She had a very pretty red dress on and we had a great time. We were both watching American Idol and making fun of the really bad singers. I mean.... REALLY BAD singers. There were several that sing worse than I do. And if you've ever heard me DJ, you know how bad I sing. LOL

So after about an hour I went & fixed dinner. Once that was taken care of, I came back and went to the ER for a few minutes. While there, I got an IM from illie. She had seen me all snazzed up and wanted to go dancing too. So, I changed back into my suit & met her at Phat Cats. That was my first time there, pretty nice place. She came in with one of the prettiest dresses I've seen in SL. The color was amazing. It was like the perfect shade of purple. Matched with her red hair, she looked great. I still can't get over how great that dress was, I absolutely loved the color. We ended up talking for a long time about anything & everything. I had a great time chatting it up with her. She has a sense of humor almost as warped as mine is, lol. I had a great time hanging out with her, as I always do. She is a pretty awesome gal. :)

I also talked with Brigid last night. She was being the great friend she is and talking with QQ about his breakup. I hate it for him. He's a great guy. I hope he's ok. Talking to her also made me think about how she and I don't hang out as much anymore. Granted, we talk almost all day every day through blog comments & sometimes through Google Talk when she's slacking at home, but we don't do much on SL anymore. Maybe we can get together and do something this week. Dancing? Skydiving? Who knows. We'll figure something out. :)

Ok, now to why I'm an idiot & I'm freaking out... As you know, I've REALLY gotten into this DJ thing. And not to brag or anything, I think I'm pretty good at it. I try to be anyway. Ok, so if you know me, you probably also know that I have 2 regular gigs on Friday night. The first is the Junyard party that stormy and I host from 7:00 until... We usually bring the party to our island or one of the clubs above it so I can DJ. At 9:00, I head over to the ER and simulcast there and to the beach. So far, it's been great and it's a lot of fun. So last night, while dancing with illie, I got an IM about another gig. When is it? Friday night. LOL This new party will start at 6:00SL and run 4 to 5 hours. So for an hour or two, I'll be simulcasting to 3 parties. LOL I'm not worried so much about the music, I can handle the people with no problems. My concern is that there's only one of me... and three places. I'm not really sweating the party at our place. When I'm there, I'm usually in the DJ booth & not really interacting anyway so I'll probably hang out at this new party the majority of the time, until the ER gig starts then I'll see how it goes from there. Yes, I am a glutton for punishment. :)

Damn.. what a long assed post. You'd think I didn't have anything else to do all day but write in here. :) Well, we know that's not the case so I better get to it. Have a superfantabulous day!
